Environmental Monitoring System Installation and Support Plans

Server Room Environments provides a complete range of consultancy, installation and support services to make sure you get years of reliable service from your environmental monitoring solution. Our engineers can install and help to configure your chosen device and sensors and ensure that alert messages are received, via email and SMS text alert distribution lists. We also provide remote and onsite support plans including sensor calibration and annual preventative maintenance.

Environmental Monitoring System Installation Service

A complete monitoring system installation service for the environmental monitoring units, sensors, detectors, converters, IP cameras, and software (On-Premises or Cloud) we supply.

Installation is carried out by our manufacturer trained engineers and includes:

  • Hardware installation including base units, sensors, detectors and converters
  • Monitoring software setup, sensor threshold settings and notification alert(s) configuration
  • System test, commissioning and handover
  • Site staff training

Installations are typically carried out during normal working hours and are not disruptive to IT operations. Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are provided prior to the site visit as required. All work is carried out safely and efficiently by our installations team.

Our monitoring system installation prices are based on normal working hours (Mon-Fri 08:30 to 17:00) including travel. Prices for multi-site projects, out of hours installation and non-standard IP/interface cable runs are available on request. For On-Premises and/or Cloud software installation, our installations engineers will work with your local IT team to assist with connection of the monitoring system to your network.

Note 1: Normal working hours are Mon-Fri 08:30 to 17:00pm. Some On-Premises and Cloud-based monitoring portals are provided free of charge and others have an annual subscription charge based on the level and features provided. Our support engineers will review your monitoring software and advise if the subscription level requires upgrading in terms of the number of devices and sensors being monitored and the features required by your installation.

HealthCheck Site Visits

During a preventative maintenance visit our engineer will:

  • Review system logs
  • Check all sensors and digital inputs (DI) are operational
  • Calibrate temperature and humidity sensors using a calibrated handheld meter if required
  • Document sensor values at sensor point and within the monitoring software
  • Report any faulty items to the client and agree an action plan to replace
  • Exchange any faulty sensors, detectors and converters
  • Issue signed calibration sheet and visit report
  • Preventative maintenance is scheduled for normal working hours, unless out of hours is quoted.

    Response Times for Telephone and Remote Access

    Our target response times are for responses during normal working hours.

    • Remote Support: call back within 1 working hour
    • Engineer On Site: next working day for calls before 12:00pm. Same day visits are available where an engineer is within easy reach of the site.
