Door Entry and Access Control Sensors

Door entry sensor kits consist of two contacts to install on a door and doorframe which are then connected to an environmental monitoring system. If a door is opened or closed, the contacts trigger an automatic alarm notification, sent using email, SMS text or SNMP, dependent on the base monitoring device connected to the sensor. The monitoring base units can be connected to the local internet using an IP network connection (Ethernet cable or WiFi) or installed with a GSM SIM card to allow remote access, reporting and alarm sending. Click on any of the sensors below to see more information and the related devices they can be connected to for montoring and alarms.

Monitoring door entry into critical areas including server rooms, data centres, mobile facilities and outdoor cabinets provides an additional level of security to an installation. Entry triggered alarms can indicate the need for further investigation include viewing the area using an IP camera. To monitor server cabinet entry, RFID door handles be used with a cabinet and connected to a monitoring device.

Door Access Control and Movement Detection Cameras

Whilst access control systems can monitor and control door entry, whether into a room or at the server rack door level, they can only record data within an access control database, and trigger alerts.

With some of our access control and door entry monitoring software we can integrate ONVIF compatible IP camera feeds to tie into door events and/or trigger with motion detection.

ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) is an camera and security industry standard that enables IP-based security devices including cameras, NVRs, access control and environmental monitoring systems, from different manufacturers, to communicate with each other.

Our IP camera range includes ethernet network cameras that are ONVIF compatible. They can be powered from an AC adapter or use a Power over Ethernet (PoE) sources such as a PoE enabled router and will provide a clear view of the monitored area. Features include motion detection, continuous recording, storage, voice intercom, and alert notifications.
