The AKCP sensorProbe2+ LCD is based on the SP2+ device and is ideal for monitoring server rooms and individual server cabients. The SP2+LCD has up to 4 intelligent sensor ports, a dry contact I/O port and LCD display to provide IT and facilities managers with a complete environmental monitoring solution that will display critical information on its LCD display. The device can be mounted on the front or a server cabinet or with a 45° bracket on the top of a server rack, with the LCD providing a visual display of all sensor status and values.

The intelligent sensor ports can be used with any AKCP intelligent sensor including temperature, humidity, water leak leakage, thermal maps, sensor status lights and contactless current meters. The SP2+LCD is PoE powered or can be used with the additional 5Vdc USB power input used as the primary source of power with PoE as backup power.

AKCPro Server Software and Alert Email and SMS Text Notifications

The SP2+LCD can be remotely monitored and controlled using AKCPro Server software (Cloud or on-site) and is ideal for a single server cabinet or multiple racks within a server room or data centre. Email alerts can be setup for distribution when monitored levels go outside threshold levels. For SMS text messages we recomemnd using an email-to-sms service or adding the modem option to the SP2+LCD device. AKCPro Server software is ideal for monitoring a single server cabinet or multiple racks within a server room or data centre. With the Modbus RS-485 port option, sensorProbe2+LCD can also act as a Modbus to SNMP gateway.

SP2+LCD Kits

The SP2+ is PoE powered as standard with an additional 5Vdc USB power input that can be used as the primary source of power with PoE as backup power.

The SP2+LCD is supplied as standard with a Basic license with 2x ports unlocked (SP2+LCD-B) and or with additional features and 4x ports unlocked in the PRO license version (SP2+LCD-PRO).

  • Basic: Notifications (email and SNMPv1/2), Events log, Graphs, Cloud portal and MQTTS M2M protocol
  • PRO: adds 5x Virtual Sensors, Map function (for the UI), 3rd Party Modbus, Modbus/TCP, IPv6, SNMPv3, VPN, Access Control User, Radius authentication, Heartbeat messages, Modbus, and Password levels

A Basic model can be converted to a Pro model (SP2+LCD-PRO) at a later date by purchasing a license. Ideal for users who may want to add more than 2x sensors in the future. The SP2+LCD-MOD version provides Modbus.

Sensors can be connected to the sensor ports (selected from the list below) or if you buy a THS bundle pack, the unit is supplied with a plug-in Temperature & Humidity sensor (THS00-NIST2).

Security Sensors

sensorProbe2+LCD can be used with RFID server cabinet locks, door contacts and motion detectors to provide cabinet security. AKCPro Server software provides central management and monitoring of who can gain access to any protected server cabinet.
