Outdoor Condenser Units

Outdoor condenser units are supplied for use with indoor air conditioners and must be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer. An outdoor condenser unit acts by transferring heat from the refrigerant to the outside surrounding air. As the refrigerant cools, it reaches saturation temperature, condenses into a liquid and releases latent heat. A condenser acts as a heat exchanger and must be match to the appropriate AC unit in terms of size and manufacturer.

Heat Exchangers

The EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) mandates that air conditioning systems within commercial buildings must be inspected at least once a year. Under the F-Gas regulations this means every 12 months for systems with over 3kg of refrigerant, and for systems with over 30kg every 6momnths and over 300Kg every 3 months. From 1st January 2015, extra measures were also introduced under the F-Gas regulations covering leak checks and regular record keeping. Please note that heat exchangers and condenser units must be brand matched and used with the appropriately sized air conditioning indoor unit.

Our projects team provides a complete installation and maintenance service. Please contact us if you need to organise a site survey, service inspection or maintenance for your air conditioning system.
