How it works
WinPower G2 runs as a service with a secure web interface. It discovers power devices (UPSs/PDUs) and protected systems (VMware, IPMI, SSH, NetApp, SPS hosts), then continuously polls or receives push events. When your chosen condition is met, WinPower executes the relevant shutdown plan (including notifying SPS G2 clients) and, where applicable, performs a timed UPS output off for a clean power-down.

How To Get Started
- Install WinPower G2 on a monitoring host and open required ports. Access the web UI and change the default admin password.
- Discover your devices — add UPSs via MQTT (UPNETG2), SNMP (NMC G1/third-party), USB/RS232 or Modbus TCP.
- Add protected systems — VMware vCenter/ESXi, IPMI, SSH, NetApp and SPS hosts.
- Define shutdown conditions — battery time/capacity, discharge duration, or “UPS is going to shut down”.
- Deploy SPS G2 on client machines, configure delay, scripts (optional) and shutdown actions, then test.
