The AKCP Air Quality Sensor (AQS) monitors for air-borne particles (dust), temperature & humidity levels, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and Nitrous Oxides (NOx) gases. This type of sensor is important in spaces where it is important to maintain a clean and dust free environment including server rooms, data centres, laboratories, food proceessing and industrial process control and manufacturing clean rooms.
The AKCP Air Quality Sensor (AQS) is a multi-pollutant detector, that can monitor for health hazards. The sensor is easy to install and via an AKCP sensorProbe+ can integrate with a building management system (BMS) to provide information via protocols including BACnet, log data for graphical analysis, with pre-set levels leading to automated alerts via email, SMS text, phone calls or a protocol such as SNMP.

This is an Air Quality Sensor for monitoring particle mass concentration, VOC index, and NOx lelves in order to protect your critical facilities. In data centres, air quality is an often-overlooked aspect of operational efficiency and uptime. The buildup of dust particles on equipment, heatsinks, and components leads to less efficient transfer of heat energy, which means cooling becomes less efficient, more costly, and lead to the potential for servers to overheat.
A server rack a high dust build-up can reduce cooling and airflow effectiveness. An AKCP Air Quality Sensor can help to detect dust as the cause of poor cooling efficiency. As dust builds-up it coats heat-generating components and insulates them from the cooling effects of the air supply. This is one of many issues that could result from poor air quality in your facility. A buildup of VOC or NOx in your environment, together with incorrect humidity, can create a perfect environment for metal work corrosion.
