The AKCP Power Monitor Sensor collects vital information from the local mains power supply and allows continuous remote monitoring via an AKCP sensorProbe+ or securityProbe base unit. Use of the power sensor eliminates the need for manual power audits and provides a way to signal immediate alerts when there are potential power problems including deviations outside set parameters.
The AKCP Power Monitor Sensor is integated into the web interface (sensorProbe+ or securityProbe) with its own ‘Power Management’ menu, allowing multiple three phase and single phase Power Monitor Sensors to be set up on a single base unit depending on the readings required.
Power meter readings can also be used with the sensorProbe+ and AKCPro Server for live PUE calculations to analyse the efficiency of power usage within your server room or data centre.
Data collected over time using the Power Monitor Sensor can also be viewed using the built in graphing tool. Combining this durable Power Monitor Sensor with the sensorProbe+ and securityProbe creates an IP-enabled power monitoring capable of monitoring and measuring:
- Phase Line Voltages
- Current
- Power Factor
- Active Energy
- Active Power
The AKCP Power Monitor Sensor is a four-wire sensor encased in sturdy white plastic and mounts on a 35mm DIN rail. The unit can be ordered for 110 or 220Vac power supplies. The sensors functions with single or three phase circuits, and meets international standards for active and reactive energy (IEC 62053-21 and IEC 62053-23).
Please note that installation should be performed by suitably qualified electrician familiar with the applicable codes and regulations for the country of installation. The installation will also require a suitable current transformer and CTs.
