The AKCP PT100 Ultra Cold Temperature sensor is suitable for temperatures as low as -200°C (-328°F) and is deal for monitoring vaccines and medical products based on mRNA technology that require ultra cold storage. The sensor uses a platinum probe that varies in resistance with temperature changes. The sensor has good stability with immunity to electrical noise making it also suitable for use in industrial environments as well as medical applications
This Temperature Sensor is suitable for monitoring a wider range of temperatures from -200°C to +150°C (-328°F to 302°F).
The Ultra Cold sensor is based on an RTD type sensor (Resistance Temperature Detector) made from Platinum. As temperature changes so do the resistance of the metal. This is precisely measured to give a temperature reading. The accuracy of the sensor is within 0.2°C (0.4°F) and is compatible with the sensorProbe+ platform only.
