Redetec Remote Smoke Detectors

The Redetec Remote Smoke Detector kit includes 2x smoke detectors, each with a 1.5m lead and the necessary plugs and fixings to connect to a Redetec fire suppression device. The smoke detectors are designed for installation inside a server cabinet and provide additional smoke detection or can used in conjunction to the internal detection built into the Redetec units.

Please note that all Redetec units fitted with internal optical detectors require 2U of free space underneath them, to allow ventilation to flow to the detection system. If this is not available, then remote detectors are recommended.

Redetec units are set, as default, to Double Knock and are therefore programmed to identify and only go into full alarm mode when two devices are activated by sensing smoke. Single knock can be selected to achieve full alarm status when just one of the two devices is activated but this is not recommended to prevent false activations.
