Information on power splitter boxes used to distribute power to connected loads in server racks and cabinets including input power ratings, outlet socket types and power distribution arrangements.

A three phase (3-phase or 3phase) power supply can be split into three separate single phase power supplies using the appropriate power distribution technology. This is one method within a server room for supplying single phase loads within server cabinets from a 3phase power distribution board.

IEC 60309 is the international standard from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for "plugs, socket-outlets and couplers for industrial purpose. Blue IEC 603090 plugs and sockets denote single phase supplies from 200-250Vac 16A and 32A. Red denotes three phase power supplies 380–480Vac.

Choices including inlet power ratings and position, outlet socket and branch circuit configurations, case colours, power cord and extension lead lengths.
