Thhe term SSID stands for Service Set Identifier and is a unique sequence of characters that names a Wi-Fi network, providing wireless clients with a network name to connect to or share among all devices in a wireless network. SSID broadcast is the way in a wireless network to make the network visible to any wireless device searching for wireless networks to connect to.
