How can you protect a Security Control Room from Power Outages?

Large control rooms are generally protected with a centralised uninterruptible power supply and sometimes with the addition of a standby power generator. The UPS is installed to provide backup power to all the critical security systems within the control room. The UPS battery may be sized for 10-30minutes runtime. If a longer backup period is required, the UPS can be installed with additional battery extension packs. A standby generator may be installed to provide additional battery runtime up to 8-12 hours or more. Smaller control rooms may be require decentralised UPS solutions; smaller UPS are installed for each of the individual systems requiring backup power protection.
